Twice a year our spirits come alive. The owls, symbol of Gunung, come to our country at the most fertile times. They come to mate, but also to reunite with us. We as a country provide food and a place to stay for the owls. We also want to give other spiritual souls the chance to see and experience these times.

 

We follow the journey of the owls through our country. Throughout the journey we will stop at several places to pray. These places all played a significant role in the life op Gunung, while he was growing up. We start at the place where he was born and we come across the places where he was educated and the places where he discovered our beautiful world. It will take two weeks to complete the path. Two weeks of spiritual unity and prayer. The final stage of the pilgrimage is the most holy. We end at the owl-temple where Gunung died and left all of his powers.

 

At the start you will get a package with everything you need, including a robe, sandals and a book with prayers. All given to us by the animals from our country. The pilgrimage is for men. Women can join to cook and take care of the camp for the men. Through this they will also be blessed. For only 40 500 Nusi you can join us (3000 for women). You can fly into our country and we’ll bring you to the starting point.
